The short answer is no. Included in the ongoing fee options is an update of your images, statement and biography.
Of course, in fact we encourage it. It is, afterall, your website. All you have to do is supply us with a PDF (fonts embedded), Jpeg or Tiff file with the dimensions 780px x 150px (in RGB mode).
For those not versed in computer technologies we can also provide you with a scale drawing (pdf) of the masthead, you can then draw/paint what you'd like, photograph it and then provide us with the resultant digital file.
Please note that photography and scanning costs are not included in the prices.
To keep costs down the general structure of the site will stay the same. That is, the proportions and positioning of the various sections.
Fonts are limited by what the visitor to your website has on their computer system.
There are universal fonts that are typically on both Macs and PCs. A list with samples will be provided and you can choose what you prefer.
This is really only limited by your imagination. We do recommend that the background behind text and images remain white for legibility purposes. See webmonkey.com for some colour 'chips'. The hexidecimal number (ie. #FFCC66) is the number you should quote.
Other than resizing the images for web we don't/won't manipulate your photos. As colour is so subjective the onus is on you to provide us with imagery that is true to your original work.
This includes an update of all of your images, the artist statement, biography and contact details. That said, it doesn't include a change to the style/design.
The ongoing fee remains the same regardless of how much you do or don't change.
We encourage you to update your work on a relatively regular basis. The ongoing fee remains the same regardless of how much you do or don't change your content.
The short answer is no. Programming code - like artwork - is protected by intellectual property law. Should you wish to move the site and get someone else to update it for you, you will need to pay an appropriate fee for the release of the code.
See cost comparisons for an overview of costs for various forms of websites.
There are no sales facilities on artperth.com. Essentially the concept behind artperth.com is to give people a small taste of your work to encourage further contact. Your work, afterall, will ALWAYS look better 'in the flesh' than on a computer screen.
It is best to think of an artperth.com website as a business card rather than a catalogue.
Not at all. Any (and all) enquiries will be directed to you as your contact details will be listed on your website should you choose to do so.
Copyright and ownership of artworks remains with the artist at all times.
All participants agree to grant artperth.com permission to display their artwork on the artperth.com website and for promotional purposes without remuneration. This can be revoked at any time by request.
If you are interested in putting your work online then please contact us. We can then send you the various forms, templates and full Terms and Conditions.
