Art, ART, MORE ART. EAT, SLEEP, EXHIBIT & think about it constantly, see others' art in real time & on-line. I have a small passion for ART.
I was formerly a contemporary dance educator/teacher, but the bod can't do it no more, so went back to making 2D art & paint almost daily.
What do you see as the biggest obstacle to your potential success?
There are some opportunities out there for artists, but not enough & so i look for what is there & go for it.
Yes, money is always an obstacle. If I had more money, I would open a gallery/workshop/studio/teaching space for artists to professionally exhibit, work and professional artist-in-residencies etc.
Sounds old fashioned? - not so. I've been in the arts for over 25 years & its always, always needed.
What do you find inspiring?
Images, graphics, moving visuals, weather maps and other stuff I see on TV, as in the introductions for news programs, back drops for interviews etc.
People's web backgrounds - love to see them, advertising posters & postcards for arts & media events.
Yes, others' art. Contemporary dance and the vids/moving images they employ - love 'em.
WA skies, the bush, the river the ebb & flow of city traffic & buildings seen from a distance.
